Epa Gas Mileage: What Does It Mean?

When it comes time to buy a new vehicle, you may find that you are drawn to comparison shopping in terms of which car or truck gets the best gas mileage. But did you ever wonder where these car companies get their data for how well their vehicles are with gas mileage? Well, it is actually the epa, or the environmental protection agency is the ones behind all of the gas mileage numbers that you see flashed on those television screens. The epa gas mileage numbers that we are given are not always one hundred percent on the mark because they are nothing more then estimates.
